Party Starters is a party hire business in Cape Town. We are responsible for the personal information you share with us. Our Information Officer is Zainab Allie, who can be reached on 061 934 3441 (WhatsApp) or at info@partystarters.co.za.

When you send a quote request, we receive:

• your full name, WhatsApp number and email address
• your event date, number of guests, suburb or venue, and type of event
• any theme or notes you add
• the items on your party list and the estimated total

To stop spam, we also check your internet (IP) address when you send the form. It is held in memory for a few minutes and is not saved with your request.

• to prepare your quote and check our availability for your date
• to contact you on WhatsApp or email about your request
• if you book, to plan delivery, setup and collection, and to keep a record of the booking

We only use your details for your party. We never sell them, and we do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing.

• Your request is saved in a secure online database (Supabase). Only our owner can see it, by logging in to our admin portal.
• We send a copy to our email inbox and a short confirmation to you. These emails are delivered by an email service (Resend).
• Our website is hosted by Vercel.
• If you tap Continue on WhatsApp, your message is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.

Some of these services store information on servers outside South Africa. We only use providers that keep personal information secure and confidential, as POPIA requires.

Your party list is also saved in your own browser so it survives a refresh. It is cleared once your request is sent. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

• Requests that do not become a booking are deleted automatically after 12 months.
• Confirmed bookings are kept for 5 years, because the tax laws require us to keep records of our sales, and are then deleted automatically.

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To ask, WhatsApp 061 934 3441 or email info@partystarters.co.za from the number or address you used on the form, and tell us your name and roughly when you sent your request.

We will reply to confirm, and delete your details within 30 days. The only exception is a confirmed booking we must keep for tax purposes. In that case we will tell you, and only keep what the law requires.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please talk to us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator at https://inforegulator.org.za.

If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top. Our booking rules are in our terms and conditions.
